RAND Space Enterprise
Dual-use space systems that serve both civilian and military functions pose growing risks of unintended escalation and conflict between great powers, yet space governance relies on outdated treaties and an underfunded policy ecosystem. Our funding supports the RAND Space Enterprise Initiative's three-year project to develop governance frameworks and norms for dual-use space systems to reduce the risk of militarized confrontation in space.
