This is not a complete list of every grant we’ve made, but highlights the organizations we’ve vetted and funded for their potential to create outsized impact. We include all grantees who have received funding, where possible considering confidentiality reasons. The 'first funded' date indicates the month and year that Founders Pledge first invested in this grantee. Some of these grantees have received multiple grants from us throughout the years.

Africa Urban Labs
African cities lack the fiscal capacity to fund essential urban infrastructure, and property tax, despite rising urban land values, remains drastically underutilized. Our funding supports Africa Urban Lab's technical assistance to East African municipalities to implement a satellite-imagery-based property tax valuation system, modeled on the Freetown precedent, where the same approach has proven successful in at least one comparable setting (Freetown, Sierra Leone).
