The highest impact investment in global health

This Giving Season, as many of us reflect on the privilege of longer lives and greater opportunity, it’s vital to remember that for billions of people around the world, those expectations remain out of reach. Poverty acts as a relentless barrier, blocking access to basic healthcare, vaccinations, and education, severely limiting their futures.
Our Catalytic Impact Fund, housed within our Global Health & Development (GHD) Program is dedicated to closing this gap. We employ a rigorous, strategic approach to direct funding where it can achieve both scale and proven impact, focusing on systemic, sustainable change.
Our work in this area focuses on:
- Significantly improving the lives of the world’s most vulnerable people
- Preventing deaths from easily treatable and preventable diseases
- Supporting systemic, sustainable change that creates lasting opportunity
Your Impact in Action
Our GHD Catalytic Impact Fund ensures that every contribution generates extraordinary impact and creates lasting change. Here’s some of our grants in action:
EITI: Unlocking Economic Growth & Fighting Corruption

In Nigeria, our $201,000 grant to the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI) is building permanent governance infrastructure to combat corruption in countries that have abundant natural resources like oil.
Research shows EITI member countries experience meaningfully higher GDP growth than comparable non-members—meaning our investment is helping unlock economic prosperity for entire nations.
CHAI TSUs: Protecting Critical Health Services

When USAID funding froze in early 2025, ten Sub-Saharan African countries lost an average of 14% of their health budgets overnight. Our joint $1.9M grant to Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI) Technical Support Units is embedding health policy experts within government ministries to help stretch scarce resources and shift funds to the programs that save the most lives.
Each dollar spent on this technical assistance helps improve systems that millions depend on for healthcare.
