The choices we make today will shape the world future generations inherit. This **Giving Season,** consider giving to our Climate Fund, which identifies and supports the most effective, underfunded opportunities in climate action. The Fund invests in neglected solutions that are essential for reaching net-zero emissions, and in the civil society needed to make that happen.

Our work in this area focuses on:

  • Building a diverse field of climate and clean energy organizations across the political spectrum that can defend and strengthen critical policy infrastructure
  • Making bets on critical yet underappreciated decarbonization pathways, such as coal plant repowering in China
  • Diversifying globally to reduce systemic risk, with strategic positioning across key regions for decarbonization like the US, EU, and China.

Your Impact in Action

Our Climate Fund ensures that every contribution generates extraordinary impact and creates lasting change. Here’s some of our grants in action:

DEPLOY/US: Accelerating bipartisan climate leadership

The path to decarbonization requires political support on both sides of the aisle, but the bulk of climate and clean energy funding still goes towards left-of-center organizations. Our investments in DEPLOY/US are helping build a vibrant field of right-of-center climate and clean energy organizations that can help defend critical infrastructure—such as the Loan Programs Office (LPO)—and drive progress under the current administration and beyond.

Innovation Initiative: urgent funding for innovation in climate

When a major player in innovation-focused climate philanthropy unexpectedly shut down in March 2025, we rapidly deployed $3.5M to establish the Innovation Initiative. This quick action preserved coordination and momentum for a tightly orchestrated set of bipartisan organizations driving federal clean energy innovation policy, preventing the collapse of years of progress.

Understanding this moment: Our end-of-year climate analysis

The landscape of climate action has changed dramatically. Policy gains are under assault, and we're now living in the challenging environment we warned about four years ago.

We've published an in-depth climate analysis report examining what strategic opportunities present themselves in the current moment for philanthropists committed to reducing climate risk. This piece connects our research to this moment and how we are using our grantmaking enabled by your donations to address real risks of backsliding, while also making the most of the opportunities this moment presents. Read the full report here.
