Change and Continuity: New Leadership for 2026

In 2015, I began building Founders Pledge with a simple but ambitious mission: to empower entrepreneurs to do immense good. My vision was to shake up the world of philanthropy and make high-impact giving the norm for people who achieve success through their business ventures and feel a responsibility to give back.

Our track record so far is pretty incredible: we’ve created a global community of entrepreneurs, investors, and change-makers who have granted more than $2B to the charitable sector and pledged several billion more, with research-led thought leadership, values-driven advisory, and an international giving infrastructure paving the way. I’m so proud of what we and our community have accomplished together.

Since 2019, my partnership with Charlotte Monico has underpinned this success. I couldn’t have imagined what a true partner in this work felt like before we started collaborating and complementing each other’s strengths. As we scale - and with our ambition for the next decade and beyond - now is the ideal time for me to move into the role of Founder & President, and pass the CEO title to Charlotte.

For our members, donors, pledgors, advisees, grantees, research, and events, not much will change.

Structurally, however, this evolution will free up my time to focus where I can have the greatest leverage – be it building high-impact partnerships, testing new strategies and, of course, wearing my other hat ensuring the success of Pledge Ventures.

This new role also plays to Charlotte’s strengths. She is first and foremost a strategist, with huge operational breadth and depth. As a member of Founder’s Pledge since 2018, Charlotte understands & shares our members’ expectations, walking their same path. As COO for the past six years, she brings both continuity and the foundational knowledge required to step into this role.
