Tom in the co-founder and former CPO at FanDuel, the world's largest daily fantasy sports site. Tom also co-founded two previous startups: Groopit (a group social networking site) and Insight Studios (a web design agency) and is working on a new venture at the intersection of AI and workplace learning.

Prior to that Tom was a PhD student at the University of Edinburgh in Machine Learning and Computer Vision, but left to start Groopit.

Tom is passionate about creating products that are fun and exciting to use, and applying game mechanics in ways they haven't been previously.
