Bio

Will Troy has spent the past six years helping philanthropists make more impactful decisions about their giving. His work has included managing the Foundation Incubation program at Ambitious Impact, where he co-authored How to Launch a High-Impact Foundation, as well as founding and running his own philanthropic advisory practice, Coppice Philanthropy.

Will holds a Master's in Public Health from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, where he focused on global health and health communication, as well as a Master’s in Public Administration from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies.

Outside of work, Will spends his time running, reading, surfing when he can, and exploring Brooklyn with his wife and daughter.

Q&A with Will

Q: If you could choose anyone famous (real or fictional) to have dinner with who would they be and why?

Probably Dionysus. I feel like that would be a memorable dinner. If he's not available then maybe Pan as a backup.

Q: As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?

A paleontologist. My dinosaur obsession was very consuming, and very stereotypical.

Q: If a movie was made of your life what genre would it be, who would play you?

A Woody Allen film about a neurotic surfer starring Shia Labeouf.
