Bio
Niki joined Founders Pledge in 2018, and before moving into her current External Relations role, worked across the organisation as Chief of Staff. She is a co-founder of our partner fund, Pledge Ventures, where she has been Operations Director since September 2022 and now focuses most of her time.
Niki began her career as a Stage and Production Manager for theatre and live events. The adventure took Niki from pub theatres to the West End, the Royal Albert Hall, and a very big tent in Saudi Arabia. She also ran a chain of theatre venues at the Edinburgh festival before going on to lead Operational and Exhibitor Services at the Royal Horticultural Society, working across their portfolio of major events including the Chelsea Flower Show and Hampton Court Palace Flower Show. Niki also ran her own aerial theatre company on the side, which combined elements of circus and dance with storytelling and had a number of sell out shows.
Despite this, she is still incapable of keeping her house plants alive.
Q&A with Niki
Q: If you could choose anyone famous (real or fictional) to have dinner with who would they be and why?
Tyrion Lannister. I'd love to pick his brains on strategy and battle plans over a glass of wine.
Q: As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
A horse. I was very definite about this.
Q: If a movie was made of your life what genre would it be, who would play you?
Phoebe Waller-Bridge. The film would fall somewhere between a drama and a complete farce.
