Bio

MK Barrett is an Administrative Assistant supporting the Communications, People, and Tech teams at Founders Pledge. Before joining FP, she worked in client services and operations at a digitization studio in Brooklyn and previously held roles in communications and environmental research. MK holds a B.A. in Environmental Studies from the University of Vermont.

Outside of work, she enjoys reading, writing, jumping into cold water, and biking around New York City.

Q: If you could choose anyone famous (real or fictional) to have dinner with who would they be and why?

I’d love to have dinner with Grace Paley and talk about her life, her writing, her activism, and how she paid attention to the world in such a funny, clear-eyed way.

Q: As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?

A marine biologist, which I understood to mean swimming with dolphins.

Q: If a movie was made of your life what genre would it be, who would play you?

A spaghetti Western starring Elliot Page.
