Laura joined Founders Pledge as Community Manager in June 2025. Prior to joining the team, she spent nearly a decade in the sports industry, most notably at the NBA league office supporting professional athletes in exploring entrepreneurship and developing their passions beyond sport.

Laura is especially passionate about developing female leaders and entrepreneurs, and is actively involved in leading several community groups that focus on supporting and empowering women across industries.

Based in New York, Laura loves experimenting with recipes in the kitchen, discovering new hikes in the Hudson Valley alongside her goldendoodle, and Saturday long runs as part of her pursuit to run all of the World Marathon Majors.

Q&A with Laura

Q: If you could choose anyone famous (real or fictional) to have dinner with who would they be and why?

The athlete in me would love to have dinner with Jeanie Buss or Serena Williams - two women who have had profound impact in sports and business.

Q: As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?

Probably a veterinarian (classic) or a sports reporter, which ended up being my first job post-college!

Q: If a movie was made of your life what genre would it be, who would play you?

It would be a mockumentary-style film (and a comedy) with several musical scenes, starring Aubrey Plaza as the lead.
