Fran is a Product Manager at Founders Pledge, focused on developing internal tools that support the organisation’s impact. Previously, he led product for a FoodTech marketplace and a consumer AI app, and also spent time working in venture capital in DeepTech funds and accelerators.

Outside of work, Fran enjoys spending time with loved ones, pursuing creative hobbies, and practicing hot yoga.

Q: If you could choose anyone famous (real or fictional) to have dinner with who would they be and why?

King Sebastian I of Portugal reigned from 1557 at just 3 years old, and he is one of the most fascinating and tragic figures in Portuguese history. He was known for his bravery, but also for his recklessness, which eventually led to failure and Spain taking over Portugal.

Q: As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?

I wanted to be a magician—I thought they knew something the rest of us didn’t.

Q: If a movie was made of your life what genre would it be, who would play you?

It would be a vlog style documentary and I'd be played by Jack Black. It’s mostly me trying to get my life together in London, failing dramatically, and somehow making it worse and laughing about it.
